The Product Engineer – Fiber Optic Cable will report to the Product Engineering Manager and may be assigned to different projects as business needs dictate.  The position is located at our Duncan, SC corporate office.

 

The Product Engineer will be part of a high-performing team responsible for the design and development of fiber optic cables and advanced manufacturing technologies. He/she will be responsible for cable design and system integration in support of the manufacturing of fiber optic cables. In addition, he/she will be responsible for ensuring that products are in line with customer requirements along with current manufacturing capabilities.

 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

 

Requirements:

·         Bachelors of Engineering (or other related technical discipline)

·         3+ years of working experience (coop experience a consideration)

·         2+ years of experience in a technical industry (cable industry preferred)

·         Computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access experience. Oracle or other ERP system knowledge is preferred

·         Fiber Optic industry experience, especially cable development and/or applications preferred

·         Experience in product development/engineering preferred
