Product Management Group Manager recruitment

Role

The client is seeking to recruit an Investment Funds Product Strategist to lead and drive this initiative to deliver a best of breed, Whole of Market Investment Funds proposition to UK, Channel Islands, and Irish entity Clients. This is a senior role within the organisation and requires a motivated individual who is familiar with the regulatory environment, distribution and revenue models associated with Investment Funds in Europe. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall strategy, propositional development, business case production, solution design, and ongoing ownership of the profitability of a package of the firm, although the role's primary function will be ownership of the funds propositions. Solutions are manufactured and administered in-house with third party input as appropriate, and are required to support a wide range of Clients and Investor types across three jurisdictions: UK, Ireland, and Channel Islands (Jersey).

Responsibilities

• Own Strategic Planning, Design, Execution and Packaging in relation to new and owned Products.

• Maintain and create ongoing Relationships within the Industry to ensure that Regulatory and Operational impacts are considered and addressed.

• Maintain and develop the documentation to support the Rollout and ongoing management process when required.

• Interact with all relevant operational areas ensuring understanding and readiness.

• Formulate and evolve effective relationships with clients both internally and externally.

• Facilitate key meetings between the various stakeholders within the firm and third parties.

• Negotiation of Terms and Service Level Agreements.

• Regular updates including face to face and telephone meetings.

• Regularly evaluate rollout documentation and procedures to ensure that they are kept up to date

• Undertake projects as agreed with Product Management Director in a timely manner.

• Self-educate on new products and changes to system and documentation, and communicate such developments

• Complete and circulate minutes of internal and external meetings where appropriate.

• Generate and maintain Management Information collateral packs in relation to owned Products.

• Regular Liverpool travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Strategy, proposition development and execution skills are essential.

• Collective Investments expertise (manufacture, distribution, and servicing) is a pre-requisite.

• Legislative framework and Operational impacts re product distribution of Investment Funds.

• Investment instruments including, but not restricted to Unit Trusts, Oeics, UCITS, SICAVs, Dublin Oeics, TIPs, Exempt Funds, ETF's and Investment Trusts.

• Distribution framework, order routing and settlement infrastructure, and operating model knowledge re the above.

• Remuneration options and dynamics re Investment Funds

• Project Management/Implementation experience

• Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio and Project.

• Excellent Organisation skills

• Strong Communication skills

• Good Negotiation skills

• Extremely self-motivated

• Ability to resolve issues independently
