Product Manager
This role will be based in the UK but will involve approx 30% travel to Germany as you will be supporting business in this area, hence the requiement for fluency in German.
Your main duties will include the following:
- The ability to translate customer problems into differentiated product solutions that are practical and user-centric
- Capturing the needs of customers, prospects and channel partners; align and prioritize these needs to the growth objectives of the company then clearly communicate these requirements to the cross-functional team for implementation.
- Validate market opportunities, manage the revenue growth and profitability of product lines, monitor and measure product performance, while seeking opportunities to enhance portfolios in core and adjacent markets.
- Manage a team of product specialists / analysts, coordinating analysis, research, for business requirements and post implementation success measures
- Through analysis of customer, market and competitive data, the product team creates a compelling product vision of new offerings, enhanced capabilities and business value. Leading all stages of a product lifecycle, the product team provides the expertise supporting all go-to-market and implementation activities within their region.
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience in product management with significant background in card, electronic funds transfer, and treasury or payments systems.
- Extensive experience within the financial services industry in a senior product management or product development capacity.
- Demonstrated leadership / management capabilities.
- A strategic and creative thinker with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
- A deep understanding of the requirements associated with building user-centric and scalable enterprise products.
You will be a product manager and not a marketeer as my client is looking for somsone with strong technical product management rather than the marketing side of business.
