The Opportunity
In this varied and newly created role the Product Manager will have ownership and management responsibility for the product research process, assist the Head of Institutional Business and the offshore Product team to introduce new capabilities and products to the Australian retail and institutional market.
Your Responsibilities
• Participate in Asia Pacific product development working groups to represent Australia's needs.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders within the business to develop and implement the product research agenda.
• Contribute to discussions to ensure our product suite and new product pipeline is meeting market needs and will be appropriate for future demand.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive quarterly flows analysis on the groups and competitor products and capabilities.
• Manage the PDS rollover process with support from other areas within the business.
• Research business opportunities and maintain the new business pipeline.
• Co-ordinate RFP responses and consultant questionnaires.
• Respond to ad hoc queries from institutional clients, prospects, and asset consultants.
Key Skills and Experience
• Sound general knowledge of financial markets and investment concepts
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Strong familiarity with the Australian asset management industry and a demonstrated understanding of asset classes, products and competitors
• 5+ years of investment management experience in roles directly associated with the research or development of investment products
• Proven experience in interfacing with internal teams to develop investment solutions and sales teams to support their needs
• Advanced PC literacy (Excel Macro, Access, PowerPoint)
