Description
The functions of this role are used in contribution to the overall product strategy and vision that complements Pershing. This leadership position is focused on managing relationships and the implementation of projects/products and services for Pershing's clients to facilitate the needs of an open architecture platform.
A qualified candidate will work with introducing broker dealers, advisors, vendors and internal Pershing business partners (collectively "clients") looking to leverage the open architecture capabilities of NetExchange Services in accessing Pershing's robust industry leading financial tools and brokerage information. Responsibilities will include hosting initial requirement gathering meetings with customers to develop appropriate business solutions. Agreed upon work efforts will be documented via a statement of work and the project manager will be responsible for the implementation of the project. A successful candidate will be versed in key aspects of the brokerage industry including new account creation, basic brokerage transaction inquiries, order management and trading functionality, cash management and account transfers amongst others.

Functional Description
• The position is a Product Manager role in the NetExchange Services Group.
• A successful Product Manager will work closely with customers implementing robust, efficient and cost effective solutions that leverage their existing proprietary or third party vendor systems and the open architecture philosophy NetExchange services embraces.
• The Product Manager will need to communicate clearly and accurately (orally and in writing) with a variety of different customer types serving different segments of the investment community.
• The Product Manager will effectively manage customer expectations regarding project development, scheduling and implementation.
• The role has a significant component of interaction with internal business units such as technology, relationship and account management, as well as executive level management.
• The Product Manager will be responsible for production monitoring, product checkout and production support of the NetExchange Services platform.
• Some travel from time to time for customer and prospect meetings should be expected.
Qualifications
• 5+ years financial services industry
• Experience with FIX, XML/Web Services with an understanding of real time messaging protocols.
• A focus on brokerage and clearing operations with a strong compliance and risk management culture.
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking and project management skills.
• Excellent relationship management, product management and organizational skills.
• College degree preferred, NASD Series 7, 63, 24would be a plus
