Product Manager wanted for Global Wealth Management Client – Hong Kong recruitment
Our client is looking for a Product Manager on an initial 9-12 Month Contract who will be accountable for the design, development, risk assessment, on-going operation and eventual closedown of products within their scope.
The role will be working closely with Product Governance Managers and the business in ensuring the overall governance and oversight responsibilities of product management.
The product manager will be responsible for all day-to-day product related activities and will require a detailed technical knowledge of one of the following products: - Investments (Capital markets, Investment Risk Management, portfolio management, etc), Wealth Management or their Banking, Credit Treasury businesses.
This role includes issue/action management for New Product Approvals, Product Variations, Product Reviews and on-going documented evidence of product management decisions under BAU or formal governance.
The relevant audit trail for products will include all phases of the life cycle including corporate strategy, market analysis, product strategy, design, manufacture, risk assessment/New Product Approvals, launch and distribution, maintenance and discontinuance.
To be successful in this position you must have the following qualities:-
• Product experience in the following areas investments, banking, credit, treasury, tax advisory
• Detail oriented
• Analytical and willing to challenge the norm
• Broad experience of risk management and governance (risk assessment processes e.g. New Product Approvals)
• Advanced ability to document technical information clearly and articulately
• Strong organisational skills
• Sufficient technical product knowledge and presence to negotiate on technical subjects with senior internal and external stakeholders
• Strong industry and regulatory awareness
• Understands the requirement to adopt a balanced approach of commercial and customer considerations when dealing with products
