Description

Product Manager for Retirement Plan Network will be charged with leading Pershing's retirement plan strategy. This individual will lead the effort to develop a new business through the creation of a Retirment Plan Network that will create a well integrated end-to-end solution that enables investment professionals to sell and service retirement plans through a network of professional recordkeepers and that increases the support Broker Dealers require to oversee this business activity.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Lead the development of a retirement plan business at Pershing, leveraging enterprise capabilities across BNY Mellon including Asset Management and banking entity
* Structure business model with strategic partner to ensure mutual long term success
* Responsibility for the development budget and ongoing financial results
* Establish and manage a customer advisory board to guide prioritization of solution development
* Build out talent to support business including marketing, sales, and solution management
* Lead development of pricing, promotion, distribution strategies and programs
* Work closely with relationship management organization to drive adoption and utilization of new solutions with existing customer base
* Leverage market and customer insights to understand the relative strengths and weaknesses of Pershing's retirement plan solutions and adjust accordingly.
* Establish leadership role within the organization by demonstrating deep knowledge of the retirement plan marketplace that results in the growth of Pershing's retirement plan business.
* Develop positive relationships across Pershing and with its business partners. Must work closely with the Relationship Management group to deliver on sales and market share goals; influence senior managers in other business units to support product initiatives.
* Collaborate with Marketing on initiatives to rollout, raise awareness of and increase adoption and utilization of Pershing's retirement plan offerings.

Recommend ongoing spending allocations by product line, based on asset generation/retention opportunities.

Monitor/interpret product pricing trends to ensure that Pershing's product pricing is appropriate.

Work closely with Legal, Risk, Operations and Compliance teams to ensure that Pershing products adhere to the necessary regulatory requirements; remain current with proposed regulatory issues and changes.

Qualifications

* 10 years plus experience with a successful track record in the Retirement plan arena; must possess substantial industry knowledge and strong product experience; substantial understanding of and/or experience with broker/dealer and RIA channels, and leadership
* A proven track record launching new initiatives from concept to roll-out within complex organizations. Possess strategic and analytical as well as project management skills to ensure a successful outcome
* Brings fresh ideas and new thinking, and is change oriented--views change opportunistically; energized and passionate--can persuasively sell ideas and concepts across an organization. Must be an outstanding communicator, both written and oral
* Strategic thought leader who inspires others by communicating a compelling vision and ambitious goals; demonstrates superior intellectual capacity and sound judgment to lead in changing and ambiguous environments; comfortable working in a highly-matrixed organization; adept at setting direction and establishing process for his/her organization and ensuring flawless delivery

* BA/BS; MBA preferred; NASD licenses preferred: Series 7, 63, and 24
