Posted Position Title: Product Regulatory Quality Engineer Career Level: Experienced Function Quality Function Segment: Lean Six Sigma Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Texas City: Houston Postal Code: 77032-3411 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose: In this role you will assist in implementing the technical regulations and standards (TRS) program for assigned products in Drilling platform. Drive product compliance to standards and collaborate with engineering and quality assurance. Essential Responsibilities - Develop product regulatory processes to manage global technical regulations, industry standards and mandatory product certification requirements in accordance with GE policies - Research product regulatory applicability for equipment, controls and instrumentation considering surface, downhole and other special applications - Support activities related to execution of technical requirements such as product registration, third party certification, etc - Develop standardized practices and procedures to ensure requirements are executed maintained with the changing regulatory environment - Serve as team expert on product technical regulations and standards - Responsible for continuing improvement and implementation of processes in response to emerging global product regulations - Conduct competency-based training to relevant personnel Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical regulations and standards (CE directives such as ATEX, Machinery, LVD, EMC, API specifications, ABS, DNV, or Lloyds classification society rules, etc) and their implementation in an engineering environment Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics - Regulatory Compliance Experience in Oil and Gas industry - Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills including the ability to influence and energize virtual teams - Knowledge of surface controls and downhole equipment - Familiar with product certification schemes and global regulatory compliance organizations - Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power point, Access database), web applications and ERP systems Why join one great company when you can join many?
