Description This position will develop and maintain specification for the technical content of new or revised MSDS and product label formats to assure conformance with regulatory requirements issued by international regulatory authorities. The individual will be responsible for interpreting regulatory issues and providing recommendations to business groups, sales, external customers, distributors, plants, legal and RD/technical. Participation in industry groups/trade organizations dealing with hazard communication will be required. In addition, the individual may represent Lyondell with regulatory agencies and trade organizations for product safety issues as appropriate. Key Responsibilities: ? Conduct hazard assessments products, intermediates and RD substances. ? Create and maintain MSDS in SAP for products, intermediates and RD substances. ? Interact with internal and external customers ? Mentor less senior Product Safety Specialists. ? Participate in project work for the Hazard Communications area.
