About the Job
The Company is a manufacturer of specialised engineered products and service provider to the offshore oil gas and iron ore industry. With offices across the globe and an increasing presence in WA, they are looking to appoint two Production Engineers to join the team. Your role will be to coordinate and carry out the development, planning and implementation of effective production processes as well as identifying and leading process improvements in the operating performance of the plant.
Key Competencies
Design and co-ordinate the installation of production equipment in the manufacturing environment
Provide specialist engineering support to production in reducing downtime and give direction to overcome breakdowns
Investigate and make recommendations on the introduction of engineering technology and ensure compliance with current safety codes and Australian standards
Ensure that manufacturing management is kept abreast of current operations and plans to design, install, construct and/or commission new work
Take all responsible action to ensure safety and health of all employees
Requirements
- Hold a degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of composites production or related processes
- Sound knowledge of project management techniques
- Excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills
- Lean manufacturing experience in a high volume production environment would be well regarded
Salary is circa $100 - 120k + Super.
