Production Machine Operator Job in Plymouth 02360, Massachusetts US
Job Description:
This is a hands-on position that involves an operator to be on his feet for long periods of time in fairly continuous motion. Operator is responsible for locating raw material, running product, performing inspection, and packaging. Operator is also responsible for keeping work area clean and uncluttered.
Employee will spend most of the day on their feet and perform tasks that require a high degree of manual dexterity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lifting of materials weighing up to 30lbs.
- Measuring materials with tape measure and calipers accurately.
- Converting measurements from imperial to metric.
- Performing basic math functions, working with functions.
- Operating a mechanical sheer.
- Feeding product through converting machines with hands.
- Hand honing/sanding of finished product.
- Visual inspection of finished product.
- Cutting of product to customer’s required length.
- Rolling material into coil for placement in boxes.
- Packaging product.
- Using a PC for basic data entry.
