Production Maintenance I Job in Chaska, Minnesota Us
• Conduct changeovers and equipment start-ups in a minimal amount of time to meet or exceed production standards.
• Tests out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime to be sure equipment is ready to run without downtime at start-ups.
• Order parts as used and needed to minimize emergency maintenance.
• Request work orders as needed to ensure equipment uptime.
• Measures "down-time" and de-briefs others to improve future outcomes.
• Respond to all internal customer requests with urgency.
Accomplish preventive maintenance (PM) and practice Continuous Improvement so that production equipment achieves production goals.
• Execute PM tasks on schedule to ensure prevention of future down time.
• Follow through on PM task and line work findings to continually improve equipment reliability.
• Enter completed work orders into computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of equipment and maintenance areas.
Understand and maintain a culture of "lean action" within the department so that we live lean better than any organization.
Prior Experience:
This position requires 5 or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated knowledge of liquid fillers, labelers, tubers and support equipment preferred.
Work Schedule:
This position usually works for 8 hours during a shift. However, hours of work are flexible and will fluctuate based on the needs of the business and the customers. The job may require a maximum of 5-20 hours of work beyond the normal 40 work-week schedule depending on work demands. The work hours can vary depending on customer requirements and staffing.
