Production Manager
Production Manager - Mississauga
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of the daily production process including the supervision of staff and resources.
Principle Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for directing and controlling all aspects of the production department, allocation of resources and communications
- Maintain positive employee relations through high levels of team work, engagement and employee involvement
- Reporting analysis of daily/monthly productivity related KPIs
- Productivity and performance monitoring including time studies, utilization of labour cost efficiencies
- Ensure consistent communication and flow of information between shifts and departments
- Responsible for the Shipping, Receiving Stock Controllers ensuring all the transactions are accurate and completed on a daily basis
- Monitor all production related Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P's) ensuring relevance compliance
- Continuous improvement initiatives to manage the day to day activities in a more efficient cost effective manner
- Working closely with Quality Assurance Department to ensure Incoming Outgoing shipments are of superior quality
- Maintain improve a safe healthy work environment
- Constructive annual performance appraisals for all reporting staff
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory/managerial role
- Minimum 3 years experience in a GMP, 5s, Lean Manufacturing role
- Must be fluent in the use of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel Powerpoint
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language (both oral and written)
- Must be extremely organized, proactive, and resourceful.
- Ideal candidate will be a self starter capable of balancing multiple projects successfully
- Thorough and demonstrated knowledge in Health Safety and related legislative requirements and codes
