Production Scheduler 2nd Shift Job in Seneca Falls 13148, New York Us

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide uninterrupted flow of materials and release of orders to manufacturing to support customer requirements. Analyzing and action MRP/DRP messages, verify parts are available, release to shop floor and follow through system to completion.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, analyze and act on materials reports
• MRP / DRP – daily MRP Exception Report
• Stock out report
• Late FPO / WO report
• Aging Work order Report
• Scrap Salvage Report
• Dispatch Report
• Critical Path
Prepare and facilitate daily production / critical path meetings to identify and establish priority, level load orders to capacity, and balance priorities to insure highest production efficiency.
Communicate/expedite shortages, errors and capacity restraints to the appropriate personnel.

Manage dispatch report, production boards and capacity graphs to analyze capacity restraints (short term) before they happen resulting in working proactively with the production supervisors to manage issues by working overtime, offloading and driving subcontracting.

Create/ Convert FPO’s to work orders and print/verify and deliver shop packets.

Follow/maintain WO packets for changes, lower level shortages, and rework.

Provide lead time quotations and assure schedules/repromises are valid, obtainable, and communicate to appropriate personnel/customer.

Identify and communicate product structure and routing issues to engineering.

Work with buyers and manufacturing to establish priorities when bottlenecks exist both internal and external to deliver product when needed. Work with customer service to make decisions on making partial shipments, splitting orders, re-prioritizing the production to maximize customer service

Develop and Provide information and corrective actions.

Identify, suggest and implement LEAN process improvements programs.

Determine/recommend material substitution to meet customer need date with engineering.

Maintain data integrity within system

Coordinate as appropriate, quality matters and engineering changes/developments between manufacturing operations, QA, and suppliers
Obtain data, participate and present metrics and countermeasures in daily management process (GEMBA walk)

Other misc. duties as assigned, back – up for other Production Schedulers.

Education/Experience:
AAS Degree with 4-6 years experience or BS Degree with 2 years experience
