Production Support - Finance
I have an exciting opportunity to join a tier one investment bank. The person will supports all aspects of the operations department and is responsible for the Integrity of their live environment. Processing and collation of data so that it may be presented at an executive level. Support for the IT Operators, Internal users and external clients.
Hours of work will be between 07:00 and 19:30 with an on call rota to cover 24 x 7
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
· Processing of special requests
· Production of Pershing statistics
· Supervised Solution implementation
· Checking of Operational procedures
· Producing documentation
· Production and maintenance of scripts
· Conversion of new Clients
· FTP administration
· Monitoring administration
· Scheduling administration
· Archiving (Tape and paper)
· Telephone support
· Dial in support
· Security administration, including password maintenance, departmental access, file maintenance · High level problem solving
· Trouble shooting live systems
· External vendor connectivity
· Backup and restore of Pershing data and offsite storage management.
· Manage and implement user request workload through Helpdesk Remedy call based system.
· EMC storage platform operational support including disk allocation, capacity management, system maintenance, and SRDF admin

· Minimal Shift cover

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
· An excellent understanding of our daily procedures performed by operators
· Industry Knowledge
· Competent understanding of systems knowledge
