Products Underwriter (Marine Products) recruitment

Provide product management and underwriting support for the Global Marine team of Corporate
Solutions. Contribute to the strategy for Marine Hull Cargo business within Corporate Solutions. In
particular:
1. Support/drive development of Marine Hull Cargo products, produce UW guidelines,
ensure appropriate calibration of UW/costing tools, provide Marine underwriters with risk appetite
guidance
2. Grow economic profit and achieve KPIs as defined
3. Contribute to and implement Corporate Solutions' global Marine strategy
4. Provide high-quality and timely overview of Marine business to allow group-wide portfolio steering
(monitoring/reporting)
5. Influence the costing and administration tool landscape, represent the Marine interests
6. Drive innovation in product and process
The opportunity
Property Single Risk portfolio management, monitoring and steering

Product Management/ Product Centre role including shaping strategy for Marine business,

create/maintain target portfolio.

Monitoring/reporting/steering (various reports) of the Marine business
Maintain an overview of the Corporate Solutions Marine portfolio
Provide input to and develop Wordings and Guidelines
Create reports and analysis for the Marine book and provide steering input
Identify and monitor potential threats to the Marine portfolio and underwriting trends that may affect

the Corporate Solutions Marine business

Tool content responsibility and overview of CorSo costing and administration tools
Involvement in creating costing parameters including base rates; providing underwriting expertise to

costing projects

Maintain underwriting quality by means of handbooks, guidelines, product strategy, renewal messages,

seminars, trainings and workshops

Make Swiss Re know-how available by means of publications
Consult underwriters for complex or large single transactions

Leadership and management

Contribute to the management of Marine

Compliance and Controlling Activities:

Manage compliance with all relevant Group reputation and risk guidance and processes (Code of

Conduct, Group Underwriting Guidelines, SOX, ORM, etc ).
Representation Activities:

Represent Corporate Solutions with senior level client contacts

Interaction with other parties:

Interact with senior Swiss Re staff in Products, Corporate Solutions, Reinsurance, Risk Management,

Finance and Operations

Maintain high-level exchange with Marine Reinsurance subject to firewall rules
