Description
This position will be part of the Corporate PMO team that reports to BNY Mellon's Chief of Staff. The Corporate PMO is responsible for monitoring the Company's most important strategic programs, developing and executing the Company's global location strategy, and providing analysis and project management support for various corporate initiatives.
Will manage the planning, organization and implementation of smaller sized strategic programs (initiatives that may cross multiple disciplines, businesses, and/or organizations).
S/he is responsible for the support, and at times, management of the planning, organizing, and execution of corporate strategic initiatives and integrations of major acquisitions. (Providing program management support or directly managing a Company initiative)
S/he designs, implements and manages tracking systems for integrations and other cross corporate initiatives.
S/he is responsible for providing analytical decision support to global location planning.
S/he facilitates regular program team status meetings and all other communications.
S/he provides guidance to all team members within the program for its duration. Specific activities including structuring programs, working with teams to develop plans, monitoring progress, identifying and resolving issues, providing advice and assistance and analyzing ideas to improve the efficiency and performance of a particular function.
S/he develops reports, presentations, and/or dashboards for senior management and regulators on the status of the Company's top 20-30 programs. Will support senior program managers in the monitoring and preparation of status reports for one or more strategic programs.
Qualifications
BA or BS. Advanced degree preferred. 7 years experience.
Preferred skills are as follows:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior managers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Moderate to strong skills in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A basic understanding of and a desire to become proficient in project and program management (proficiency with standard project management tools such as MS Project and a credential such a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute would be plus)
