We have an exciting new opportunity on the Investment Manager Outsourcing team for a Program Manager. The Program Manager is a Sr. Project/Delivery Manager who manages large-scale, mission-critical projects (across business and technology) to put clients onto our Middle Office platform or assist with the continued build out the strategic Middle Office outsourcing platform to service the needs of Investment Managers.

This is a senior level role. The candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and the coordinated management of multiple related projects to place clients onto the platform or introduce new capabilities to our global outsourcing platform. The candidate will work with the client, development, project, and product managers to create and execute a unified and coordinated list of project tasks, assignments, and budgets. The Program Manager is accountable for the overall management and delivery of the program on behalf of the global outsourcing business.

The PM has responsibility for the following aspects of a program:

Program Delivery
- Be accountable directly to the larger program to deliver services beyond middle office (or the business sponsor for new capability build out) for delivery of the initiative across all business and technology activities and resources.
- Understand and validate the cost estimates used to develop the program's business case. Challenge the estimating assumptions if they are unrealistic.
- Own formal definition, documentation, and communication of scope and objectives
- Manage all changes to the scope and requirements through a formally defined change control process
- Define and manage the lifecycle from project initiation through to program closure
- Identify, manage, resolve or escalate risks, issues and dependencies
- Develop and maintain the program plan including the schedule, change control, risk management, issue management, and communication plans
- Ensure all teams have funding and resourcing at initiation and ongoing
- Maintain the program decision log
- Ensure that tactical vs. strategic decisions are identified as such
- Ensure that the Middle Office Delivery is looked at holistically and not in vertical silos

Program Financials
- Develop (and periodically review) estimates for the Middle Office delivery schedule and budget.
- Measure, monitor and report on the Middle Office delivery actuals, forecast and budgets and update plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner

Program Leadership
- Secure, lead and motivate the internal external resources required to deliver middle office
- Participate in the program's governance (e.g. sponsors, approvers, stakeholders)
- Obtain buy-in from senior management (from both IT the business) for all key schedules, commitments and changes
- Provide guidance to and day-to-day management of the Project Managers across business and technology responsible for each sub-project (including staffing and project plans)

Program Communication + Steering Committee
- Manage the business relationship to ensure that the end product meets both the business's expectations and IT strategic goals
- Participate in regular Steering Committee meetings
- Conduct regular Program Management team meetings and facilitate strong team communication
- Measure and monitor progress and provide regular status reports
- Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are clear to all stakeholders and the program team, and that the impacts of decisions surrounding these are understood by all parties
- Ensure that all requirements, schedules and changes to commitment are regularly communicated to the program team
- Provide a central point of contact for all stakeholders regarding issues, risks and dependencies

People Development
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
- Provide timely feedback to team members

Program Vendor Management
- Lead any vendor selection and evaluation processes
- Manage vendor relationships to achieve delivery

In addition to seasoned project management and business expertise, the PM should have conceptual systems development knowledge as well as experience using or managing projects on the Eagle technology suite, with an understanding of what it takes to lead a team to success across business and technology in a matrixed environment. The PM has a successful track record for delivering large-scale, high-profile projects, and has a strong understanding of business analysis and testing processes, as well as experience directly managing teams of project managers, business analysts, testers, architects, developers, etc.

Qualifications

The candidate must have extensive experience with large complex technology-based projects. Also, demonstrated success managing client expectations and communicating effectively with senior management and executive management. Prior experience managing strategic and/or cross-organizational projects and planning and tracking multiple complex projects or programs required. Must have experience coordinating work across multiple disciplines or organizations and be adept at building consensus across organizational and functional lines.

The PM must have extensive project management experience as well as program management experience with expertise in best-in-class PM methodologies.

In addition, a background with Eagle Investment Systems technologies is required and large-scale experience in managing complex technology-based investment management business initiatives. Candidate must have experience managing vendors and contracts as components of a program.
