The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA), a 950+ member non-profit trade association located in Calverton, Maryland, is seeking a Program Manager to work in its Information Services Division.
Program Managers are responsible for the management and administrative oversight of IANA’s Information Service programs. They serve as the lead manager for one or more of the Association’s programs, and as back-up support for other Program activities. Primary duties include the analysis of certificates of insurance and other contract documents for validity; preparation of general correspondence responding to customer inquiries; and identification and planning of new IANA information services and programs. Program Managers are also responsible for testing application enhancements; reviewing program documentation; preparing and maintaining statistical reports for use in evaluating programs and for annual budget development. Under the supervision of the AVP, the Managers conduct periodic reviews of processes and procedures designed to reduce operational costs and/or increase efficiencies. The position requires occasional travel and will provide daily customer service to Program customers including phone support, data entry and document processing.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Experience
5+ years of experience (at least 2 of which are supervisory) in the areas of program management, contract administration and/or customer service
Undergraduate degree
Strong data entry skills – accuracy and speed
Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred
Basic understanding of commercial insurance industry helpful
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
Experience with web-based applications
