Programme Manager
The Regulatory Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the program management of a large strategic delivery program across Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Technology. Working with senior business and technology leaders, this role will support and govern the prioritization and execution of a wide range of cross asset class delivery projects. The Regulatory Program Manager will have strong knowledge of current regulatory mandates in the financial services industry and understand the technology implications of supporting those mandates. The Regulatory Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring there are cross LOB technology delivery plans to bring the technology solutions for regulatory compliance in line within FICC strategic efforts.
Responsibilities include the ability to understand complex problems and negotiate practical solutions across organizational boundaries. The ideal candidate will have experience presenting to senior audiences, running large programs, building financial business cases, defining transparent delivery schedules, managing risks and issues and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Define, document and deliver the program management framework required to manage a large strategic delivery program. Have effective control, leadership and responsibility for the delivery of the portfolio, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business value.
- Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the portfolio and ensure stakeholders have information to make effective decisions.
- Define, communicate, and champion a method of working to manage the strategy and ensures sufficient visibility at all levels in the organization.
- Define and champion project/program governance to ensure there is sufficient executive support and guidance.
- Build effective relationships to ensure the success of the projects/programs that comprise the delivery programs
- Provide thought leadership on all aspects of the portfolio in order to ensure successful delivery.
- Establish appropriate tools and processes to meet project/program goals.
- Influence program sponsor to make the appropriate decisions and modifications in response to external influences on the portfolio.
- Effectively communicate highly complex ideas at multiple organizational levels and modify personal approach and style to reflect changing circumstance.
- Maintain adherence to the Enterprise project framework
- Develop and maintain broad knowledge of related functional areas across the Global Markets business.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the industry and incorporate best practices as they emerge.
This position requires significant experience in either consulting or a financial institution. The candidate must have a proven track record in operational effectiveness, financial analysis, change management, program management, communication, execution and implementation and project management.
Required Skills
- In depth experience in managing all aspects of large, cross functional technical projects, successfully delivered within timescales and budget
- Ability to work in a flexible manner, considering the global nature of the role and working with teams across many time zones
- Proven ability to lead and manage globally distributed teams in a matrix environment.
- Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with senior management, business and technology stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience and/or detailed knowledge of resource allocation, budgeting, and project planning/scheduling
- Experience on collaboration platforms like SharePoint, Wiki, etc..
- Ability to drive and manage major change within the organization
- Drive, initiative and the ability to work unsupervised
- Previous experience managing vendor relationships
Desired Skills
- PMP or equivalent
- Experience in Sharepoint/Clarity/Wiki
- Agile Experience Preferred
- Technology/Development background is a plus
