As Team Leader Internal Retrocession you will lead a team of currently 7 employees. You are responsible for the timely and accurate submission of the PC IGR financial statements for all carriers, views (Year-to-date, Projection, Plan) and valuations (US GAAP, Stat, Ultimate Values). For EVM you and your team will support other teams within Finance Operations PC with your general IGR expertise. The processing of IGR data is based on inforce IGR contracts which are approved by the IGR Steering Committee, which you will serve as process manager.
The opportunity
Additional tasks include the provision of comprehensive IGR variance analysis for Management and Carrier reporting purposes. In your role as global functional lead you will together with Finance IT contribute to the future set up of the IGR process and deliverables, including participation in initiatives and projects. You will also interact frequently with a number of key stakeholders, including Reinsurance and Corporate Solutions embedded CFOs and their teams, local CFOs, Actuaries, Risk Management, Auditors, Capital Management and other (Finance) functions. Also you will contribute net, net analysis across Finance Operations PC.
Responsibilities include:
- Production and timely submission of PC IGR financial statements
- Responsible for the PC IGR Analytics for all time dimensions (Sign-off Reports, Mgmt. Reporting, FLUX Analysis, VABS, SST)
- Contribution to net, net analytics running across Finance Operations PC
- Further enhance global IGR processes and calculation engine (TIGER) together with Finance IT
- Responsible for coordinating the PC IGR approval process (contract approval, financial and cash statements, guidelines)
- Own internal control processes for the underlying tasks
- Process management of IGR Steering Committee
- Day-to-day management of the Internal Retrocession Team
- Contribution to Strategic Finance Operations projects

- Capable of building trust with all areas of the business including Reinsurance/Corporate Solutions, Actuarial and Finance colleagues
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines and manage details without losing sight of the big picture.
- Capable of taking cultural and geographic differences into account when making decisions
- Demonstrate personal accountability and dedication for area of responsibility, stature and confidence to deal with senior managers
- Able to operate and manage in a matrix culture and organization to achieve the units overall objectives
- Indepth operations experience
- Good understanding of US GAAP and EVM
- 5+ years of insurance or reinsurance accounting/reporting experience
- Experience in managing and leading teams is a plus
- Fluent in English
