Programmer Analyst – C++ recruitment

A leading global Investment Bank is looking to bring on a very strong technologist to join a greenfield programme based in Singapore. They are looking for someone who thrives on daunting problems and has a passion in finding solutions. The successful candidate will be involved in creating and managing the development, production and distributed runtime environments for one of the financial industry’s leading Risk Management platforms.
You will be responsible for interacting with a user base of mostly theoretical computer scientists and applied mathematicians. Supporting and contributing to an innovative, functional programming environment.
You will be developing solutions for the problems of:
- High frequency, large-scale global software releases
- Run-time issues such as dynamic reconfiguration and lightweight monitoring across a wide range of execution environments
- Managing varying compilers and operating systems across a range of platforms, including managing system and compilers upgrades with no business disruption
- Securely enforcing appropriate controls on development of financial models
- Testing and otherwise controlling software quality across a wide range of problem areas, from correct pricing to resource consumption to host system integration challenges
Qualifications:
- Experience in functional programming and experience in managing high-frequency releases of large-scale software systems
- Demonstrated ability to program high-quality software
- Deep knowledge of operating systems and networking
- Expertise in relational databases
- Technologies – C++, Unix, Sybase
