Programme outline

Our Technology graduate programme offers a unique opportunity for you to gain in-depth exposure to the component parts of a large technology team within a world leading investment management business.

Based in London as part of our Trading and Operation Technology team, you will be working in a group creating flexible core components for trade processing, risk management, portfolio management and reporting systems. We are looking for people who are passionate about programming, like cutting code and want to make a real difference straight away. A full training programme will ensure the successful candidates have the knowledge and skills they need, and the opportunity to work towards an industry-recognised qualification.

Who we look for

We will be interested in talking to you if you can bring us the following skills, qualifications and attributes:

• A minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a maths, engineering, scientific or technology related discipline

• 300 UCAS points (or equivalent)

• A high level of computer literacy: knowledge and experience of a commonly used programming language is desirable, for example C#, C++, Java

• A sound understanding of common software development methods

• An interest in financial services and how technology affects their success

• Knowledge of databases and SQL

• Self-driven with a demonstrable ability to learn and self-teach

• The ability to think laterally

• Good examples of project work showing the ability to structure time and work well in a team

• Motivated to enhance business value through technology

• Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical and non-technical language
