Project Accountant – Belfast – Co. Antrim – 6 months - £32,000 - £40,000
Hays is delighted to be working with a global leader in their market and a highly successful local organisation. We are partnering with this business to recruit an extensively experienced project accountant for an initial period of 6 months, though there may be other project opportunities pending performance. Remuneration for this post will be dependent on the candidate but will be in the region of £32,000 - £40,000 pro-rata.
The primary focus of this job will be the evaluation, analysis and improvement of the current stock management system. To this end, the successful candidate will report into the Finance Director and will be responsible for the following duties:
§ Extensively analyse and report upon the current stock management system
§ Interpret and outline current transactional flow within current processes from initial order to final dispatch
§ Design and implement improvements and efficiencies in the current processes; focusing on cost, profitability and speed of service
§ Improve relationship and interaction between current operational reporting and financial reporting to provide key strategic information for management and Board.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with more than 5 years post-qualified experience. You should have extensive experience with financial project work involving intricate and complex systems. The successful job seeker will have a broad knowledge of both financial and operational principles, and will have strong analytical skills.
The role is due to begin in the coming weeks so a reduced notice is preferred, but not essential.
