Project Engineer Job in Toronto L7e 5S5, Ontario Canada

1 year contract position


General Job Description:

This role is responsible to work with both the customer and the sales team to support the winning of business related to Services products (including, Encore, Product Upgrades, ProAct, and ShotscopeNX).  The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team to ensure the quoted solution meets customer commitments.  This is accomplished through being the liaison between the customer/sales team and operations to deliver the product.


Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability:

Lead kick-off meeting, ensuring that milestone commitments are translated from the customer to the operations.  Follow-up on open issues from the kick-off meeting

  • Maintain and communicate regular up-to-date knowledge of project status,
  • Prepare, issue and evaluate the impact of order changes, and ensure that original production schedule deadlines are met, or if this is not possible, communicate the impact to the customer/sales team
  • Maintain constant communication of project status with the customer and sales team
  • Ensure that the customer’s expectations are exceeded in all areas; do what it takes to ensure that the customer is pleased with the equipment and service from Husky.  Opportunities to exceed expectations include the following: maintaining regular contact with customers (before, during and after delivery of product), facilitate quick resolution to any customer issues during and after delivery.  Utilize creativity and initiative to enhance customer satisfaction.

    Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

    Strong negotiation, facilitation, conflict management skills and the ability to professional interact with team members and customers

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Knowledge of injection molding machinery and related mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic technologies
  • Good understanding of the Order to cash process for Services products
  • Plastic industry and market knowledge
  • Financial knowledge (an asset, but not critical)
