Project Finance Credit Analyst
Duties to include:
- Responsibility for day to day management of a diverse portfolio of assets originated from SFD Unit 2.
- Preparing and processing credit submissions in a timely manner and avoiding overdue scenarios, ensuring good co-ordination with Credit Department, Audit Department and OAD as appropriate.
- Assessing the impact of risk relevant events on our lending exposures.
- Ensuring that the handover of accounts from fronting units is appropriately administered, distinct loan characteristics recognised and responsibilities understood.
- Analysing reports (Financial and Technical).
- Processing waiver requests.
- Support in the negotiation and conclusion of legal documentation as appropriate for waiver requests
- General account management, including representing the Bank at site visits and borrower / lender meetings.
- Managing and monitoring all risk aspects associated to the portfolios.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of Rating Models associated with Basel 2.
- Liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Adherence to internal credit policies, procedures and processes for the Bank as a whole and also those specifically related to EMG.
- To cooperate and build good working relationships with the SFD Unit 2 marketing teams to ensure smooth transaction handovers and effective on-going portfolio maintenance.
- Early identification and assessment of risk relevant events on a "no surprise basis".
- Work in a team environment providing assistance to other team members as and when required in terms of support and training.
- Mentoring junior team members and developing their technical skills.
You will have a good understanding and working knowledge of project finance, in particular the PFI / Transport sectors and some exposure to equity investments would be desirable. You will have a thorough knowledge and experience of analysing financial accounts, documentary and project waiver requests and financial models.
This is a 4 month contract and in return our client is willing to pay a competitive daily rate of up to £320.
