Key Roles Responsibilities
- Level 2/3 application support
- Provide support for implementations ensuring timely resolution of production issues arising.
- Manage and deliver small BAU projects.
- Be a key contact for specialist areas of the systems, for example Sanctions Filtering.
- Communication with business and technology teams at detailed level; performing analysis based on the business requirements to ensure the system design including the resilience, robustness and reconciliation to meet with business needs and adherence to company standards and policies, which include regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with and help to manage the external application vendor.
- Responsible for preparing and setting up environment configuration in the test Messaging system.
- Support the BAU manager in his role of ensuring group and regulator compliance with standards and financial management.
- Perform Systems Integration Testing and manage other testing streams and implementations by closely working with business users and related interfacing project teams
Qualifications Skills
- A degree holder or equivalent, with solid IT experience in financial industry, preferably banking sector
- Good grasp of technology and operational awareness including Microsoft Windows, Unix Tandem operating systems.
- Strong working experience in Tandem preferred but not mandatory.
- Programming experience beneficial especially in TACL and ENFORM.
- Experience in SWIFT Financial messaging.
- Detailed knowledge of payment systems and strong RTGS experience beneficial.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven working experience within an ITIL or equivalent environment
- Experience of Remedy incident management tool beneficial.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a keen awareness of cultural differences
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Office tools.
- Confident and self-motivated, with an ability to get things done.
- A team player who enjoys working with people on all levels as well as being able to work independently
- Prepared to work outside normal office hours to meet pre-agreed deadlines, including weekends for project implementations
- Prepared to travel as required
