Position Description

Develops overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders, as well as provides analysis and oversight of project cost and schedule, in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008). May lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Provides reports, project status and change information to project team per established processes and communicates plan changes and recovery plans to others. Engages with specific organizational and project task owners to improve routine project performance commitments. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Ensures that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers. Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers.

This project management position supports the Structures Test capabilities of Boeing Test Evaluation. The Structures Test Capability is an enterprise-wide organization with laboratories in the Puget Sound region, Southern California region, Mesa, St. Louis, and Philadelphia. Candidate should be capable working in a virtual team environment, available for intermittent travel, capable of handling ambiguity and working with minimal direction, engaging with a diverse audience inclusive of engineers, technicians, administrative, and management. Candidate should also be comfortable working in situations where they must influence outcomes without formal authority. Candidates with experience or understanding of testing, particularly structural testing, are preferred.
