Position Description
This is a senior project management position in the Charleston Systems Integration, Processes Tools (SIPT) Integration Team. This position will be responsible for planning and project management of the development, deployment, implementation, and support of production system software tools, process documentation, integrated project office and end user training at Charleston for sustaining and enhancement activities. This position will lead teams of cross-functional technical experts, some of whom will be local to Charleston; others will reside remotely at other Boeing sites. The scope of this position includes the entire Charleston site (Mid, Aft, Final Assembly and Delivery (FAD) and (IRC) Interiors Responsibility Center).
Applicant will be responsible for managing complex projects and developments related to the Boeing Production System. In addition to performing fundamental project management duties such as schedule creation management, development and adherence to Earned Value principles, requirements management and validation, risk and opportunity management, the applicant will communicate and consult with internal/external stakeholders at all organizational levels to ensure products and services meet requirements. Applicant will create and deliver presentation materials to make complex issues more clear.
Applicant will lead others and direct all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2004). Applicant will identify key stakeholder project objectives and requirements. Applicant will ensure assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan and also provide in-depth analysis of project, culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans. Applicant will also provide assessment of team performance to appropriate management.

Level 5 - Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Job related information
Candidate should have experience and a broad understanding of both software/system development and process documentation. Candidate should have experience with complex information systems development and deployment. Candidate should be an expert in project management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to work independently with very little direction and must be resilient to work to vague and changing customer requirements. Candidate must be able to work under extreme pressure while solving complex technical problems. Candidate must be able to show and teach why things work the way they do, not just how. Candidate must be patient, comfortable, and have a proven track record of success working with diverse individuals and groups. Experience with the Boeing Production System is helpful but not required. Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. MBA preferred but not required.
