Project Management Specialist The Eberly College of Arts Sciences (ECAS) at West Virginia University (www.wvu.edu), invites nominations, and applications for the position of Project Management Specialist. The Project Management Specialist works under the direction of the ECAS Director of Sponsored Awards. Responsibilities: The Project Management Specialist will perform research administration and support faculty researchers in the preparation of electronic applications, budgets for external funding, and research compliance. This position partners with researchers in providing a considerable amount of guidance in preparing/developing accurate budgets and budget spreadsheets, verifying compliance with state, federal, university and sponsor guidelines; managing timelines and competing sponsor deadlines; monitoring and informing faculty of pertinent requirements, regulations, and laws; performing review of project proposal applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with all required documentation; and analyzing data and reports. Qualifications/Experience: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor s degree in Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Business or related field. Master s degree preferred. The candidate will possess two years of related experience in budget development and management; working as part of an administrative team; and fostering and maintaining research compliance. The successful applicant must possess excellent communication and project management skills.
