Standard Poor's Ratings Services is currently seeking a Project Manager to manage and coordinate a variety of project activities that support global regulatory, compliance and operational performance initiatives for the Global Risk Management Operations function. The primary role of this position will be to provide global regulatory exam support by developing project plans; collecting, formatting and consolidating exam documentation; coordinating timely completion of exam activities and action plans, monitoring project activity progress, developing status reporting and ensuring exam/ project documentation and deliverables are complete, organized and recorded in a centralized data repository for reference, disclosure and regulatory purposes. Additional responsibilities include providing project management assistance for other regulatory and internal risk management operations initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor progress against project plan due dates, follow-up with responsible parties as needed to meet deadlines, conduct status meetings, report progress to project team and stakeholders
- Monitor progress against corrective action items for internal and regulatory examinations
- Timely identification, reporting and escalation of issues to management
- Develop project plans, action items and agree responsibilities and due dates with project team members for regulatory exams and submissions
- Assist in the collection, organization, formatting, development and preparation of deliverables for regulatory submissions
- Document regulatory findings and action items in centralized database
- Provide project management assistance in support of global, regional and local compliance, risk operations and regulatory filings and reporting initiatives with particular emphasis on regulatory exams
- Manage and administer the storage of reports and documentation associated with various compliance and other reviews
- Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep Compliance and Global Risk Management executives informed of progress
- Establish and maintain relationships with colleagues in other regions and functional groups to facilitate management, implementation and tracking of corrective action and other Global Risk Management initiatives
- BA/BS degree plus related experience in the financial services industry, and/or Compliance, Risk, and/or Operations and/or management consulting
- Demonstrated project management skills to effectively manage diverse resources across geographic regions to meet concurrent regulatory and internal deadlines
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detailed oriented; able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure; able to stay abreast of changing regulatory rules and procedures in a developing industry
- Excellent communication and listening skills (verbal and written), ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and to recognize project risks
- Ability to work with team members and stakeholders at all levels in a positive and team-affirming manner
- High proficiency with MS Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio and Project
