Project Manager - Front Office, investment bank
Project Manager, Front Office investment bank. Taking full life cycle ownership for a portfolio of projects, this PM will work closely with developers and other PMS to ensure each project is delivered as agreed. This role is within Front Office Risk and PnL environment, specifically aligned to Credit but any FIC exposure is fine. Rates, Credit and FX all transferrable business areas.
Major challenges include continued adoption of new businesses and financial products, maintenance and improvement of performance with ever increasing volumes and ensuring optimal usage of available resources.
Role will involve managing a number of projects, including new business adoption, general new features and enhancements. The PM will work closely with the Product Owner to ensure that any given project or release delivers the expected outcomes within the agreed constraints of time, cost, functionality and quality.
Ideally suited to a methodical, detail focused and technologically minded individual who will put their arms around a project and ensure it gets delivered.
Overall skills
- Must be capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks
- Proven ability to define and drive project plans and roadmaps independently with minimal supervision
- Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments - able to evaluate business requirements and facilitate the translation of them into technical requirements and solutions
- Communicate with management, developers, product managers, business analyst, business owners and technical support specialists on delivery issues
