VP/ Group Head of Credit Management
Today Clarks group is a thriving global business; half our sales now come from outside of the UK, with significant and growing operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pac. We want you to step into this newly created role, first and foremost to harmonise our global credit and control practices and drive globalization of this function to support business growth.
In this hands-on role, you’ll provide credit management support to global sales management teams to help them deliver regional trading plans. It’ll be your job to head up all credit management and accounts receivable activities for our wholesale trade customers – ranging from sole traders to large PLCs. You’ll also manage the day-to-day operation of our Credit Insurance programme, regularly meeting with our insurers and brokers.
Additionally, we’ll look to you to lead and develop the skills of a diverse team of credit professionals based all over the world – so you’ll need to be happy to travel extensively.
About you
You’ll need to be professionally qualified with at least an ICM level 5 diploma in credit management, with significant post-qualification experience managing a global, fast-paced and complex credit management function. Ideally you’ll also have effectively managed credit insurance policies before and have a good understanding of SAP Financials. However, most importantly, you’ll have solid international experience in a multi-channel environment, having worked across at least two (ideally three) or our four global regions: Americas, UK ROI, Europe and Asia Pac. There, you will have developed policies across international markets and gained a thorough understanding of business development strategies.
