Our client, a top tier investment bank is looking for an Operational Risk Manager to support the Head of Operational Risk Reporting in developing and delivering on all the requirements of internal and external Operational Risk Reporting including, for example, regular and ad-hoc reporting to internal senior committees, and for regulatory/ statutory purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
• To support the schedule and delivery of all aspects of regular operational risk reporting
• To support the development of new and evolving minimum reporting standards to:
o Respond to changes in internal risk profile, external risk profile and the effectiveness of the internal control environment.
o Adapt to changes in audience focus/ requirements
o Ensure that regulatory/ statutory requirements/ guidelines and principles are satisfied
• To support the consolidation of Operational Risk Reporting from various sources
• To support the co-ordination and development of appropriate content and format within operational risk reporting
• To support the validation of the operational risk information passed to the Reporting team (from each of the above information streams) by tracking the information back to source systems/ processes.
• To support Operational Risk Pack Production to ensure it is effective, efficient and adapts to changes in
• To support the delivery of Ad-hoc presentations supporting the CF28
• To support the development and communication of the Operational Risk Reporting Framework

• Time Management and task scheduling to deliver against monthly reporting cycle
• Risk concepts
• Risk identification methods/tools – workshops, interviews
• Risk assessment - Inherent/ Residual basis; Impact Types; Risk likelihood
• Risk response options
• Control concepts and documentation – objectives, types, accountability, resource, process, evidence
• Incident Loss data – concepts, root cause analysis, future prevention, Mapping to Basel II event categories
• Risk reporting – data analysis, key messages
• Risk analysis – aggregation, concentrations, root cause
• Monitoring options, including indicators
• Data quality review
• Scenario concepts
• Risk appetite framework
• Risk culture concepts

In addition to this the successful candidate will be required to contribute to improving the quality, timeliness, accuracy and format of Operational Risk reporting across the bank to meet specific expectations of all stakeholders.
