Renal Service Manager
I am currently looking for an interim Service Manager / Project manager to provide overall operational management and support to a well-run Renal Directorate. This service currently has some interesting projects running and you will be joining a friendly and established team to work with. This position is a 4 month contract.
The Renal Directorate provides a comprehensive service to the adult population of North Trent, comprising acute and chronic renal failure services and a renal transplantation programme. The Directorate is responsible for provision of satellite dialysis services in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Chesterfield. The Directorate endeavours to provide a high quality programme for teaching, training and research in order to attract and retain the best staff.
The Job:
• To provide timely, efficient and effective operational management support to the directorate, assisting the Clinical Director and General Manager as required and ensuring that these services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standard.
• Contribute to setting and evaluating a strategic framework for the development of services within the Directorate Management Team
• As the devolved budget holder for the non-pay and administrative budgets for the Directorate, control resource utilisation, deploying resource to maintain control and secure service development
• Day to day management of the Renal Service in conjunction with the Senior Nursing staff and Clinical Director
Minimum Requirements:
• Educated to Masters level or working towards Master’s degree
• Knowledge of contracting for clinical services, financial planning and control within clinical services
• Experience of project management/service development
• Evidence of well-developed leadership and communications skills
• Experience of staff management including recruitment, career development, disciplinary issues and work evaluation
• Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in health services in a multi-disciplinary environment
