Project Manager
Project Manager required by leader in Investment Banking, to work on high profile/ high visibility projects and will own the delivery of all IT changes required by the business to ensure compliance with the evolving EU Financial Transaction Tax (EU FTT) regulations.
This role will involve working with a wide range of internal IT and business partners, in front, middle and back office, and will perform all traditional project management activities and ensure compliance with the business and Finance Reg Taxation governance standards.
The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible for overall IT planning and delivery to meet regulatory commitments for their projects.
Provide input into regulatory risk assessments and annual budget process
Develop and manage IT project plan, major milestones, financials (budget/actuals, explain overage)
Co-ordinate with the business, as well as various IT groups to make sure analysis, design and implementation of IT solutions to meet regulations happens
Monitor, track and resolve project level issues and risks; take corrective actions where necessary
Essential experience required:
Extensive experience in Investment Banking/Brokerage managing IT projects of comparable size and complexity:
Proven Project Management and Leadership skills
Working knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income instruments
Familiarity with EU FTT regulations and developments
Experience managing Front to Back IT projects
Experience on Tax related projects a plus
Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools (ie, CA Clarity) a plus
Independent certification (e.g. PMI) a plus
