Project Manager
- 10-15 years of experience
- Be able to run multiple projects from beginning to end
- State Agency work is required – SHA, MDTA
- Project experience is stream restoration/wetland creation
- Level 3/4 Rosgen training
- This is a training based on stream restoration and design
- Strong background in storm-water mgt and design (erosion and sediment control etc…) related to highway/roadway design
- Grading experience as it pertains to highways and roadways - Federal work would be a plus but NOT required
-Will direct a technical staff comprised of Engineers, Designers, and CADD Technicians
-Projects will be assigned to Project Managers based upon size and complexity as well as the capabilities of the Design Group.
-When assigned to a Project Manager, staff will report directly to that Project Manager.
-Project Managers are responsible for evaluating the capabilities and size of assigned staff for meeting project schedules and technical requirements
Duties:
-Responsible for the successful completion of projects on time and within budget, which meets the Client’s expectations.
-Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of Client’s design procedures, polices, specifications, etc. and ensure that they are translated to the Contract Documents.
-Attend meetings and coordinate design with Client’s Project Manager while maintaining good Client relations. Good Client relations mean the difference between a successful project and an unsuccessful project and affects repeat business opportunities.
-Responsible for preparing work plans, manpower requirements, and anticipating both manpower and technical project requirements.
-Training of staff including delegation of responsibility while maintaining control of the project. Monitor staff’s work on a daily basis to insure progress and maintenance of acceptable design practices.
-Monitoring work of Sub-Consultants to insure completion of work on time and within budget, including technical review of their work. Also, coordinates work between other disciplines within the firm that are working on the design assignment.
-Prepare written documentation of all Client communications (telephone, meetings, etc.) in a timely manner and send to Client for confirmation.
-Coordinate short and long term staff needs with other Project Managers at regular staff meetings.
-Review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates at various milestones to insure completeness and accuracy of work.
-Sign and Seal Contract Documents.
