Job Description: Position Responsibilities: The Project Manager 1 is responsible to the Project Manager 2 or 3 for directing the project's resources; developing the project plan; and ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and with acceptable quality. Managing cost/schedule risks is a key element of achieving the desired result(s). The Project Manager also communicates with vendors and management. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and integrating activities across multiple functional lines, and managing stakeholder communications. The project manager accomplishes the above by managing project scope, time, cost, and quality. The project manager applies project management, general management and technical skills, as well as team management, negotiation, financial and business acumen, combined with an understanding of organizational politics to meet project objectives and to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations. ? Supervises Fabrication Engineers, Support Engineers and Field Engineers. or any other authorized manager to ensure the construction and operation of the Process Unit ? Communicates regularly with management and other internal personnel on project status and remedies for delays or other problems ? Provides end-to-end oversight of project activities, ensuring successful completion of the project to Senior Management ? Facilitates Post Project review sessions with internal and customer personnel Required Qualifications: ? Associates degree in a technical field with a minimum of 8 years experience or BS in Engineering with 5 years experience in management of construction or equipment manufacturing, and experience in project management and procurement activities including project controls and risk management. ? Familiar with procurement, supplier evaluation, subcontractor management, welding, fabrication and assembly, and quality control and inspection. ? Demonstrated management and organizational skills within last 3 years. ? Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance. Desired Qualifications: ? Experience with mechanical machine fabrication ? Experience with gloveboxes ? Directs preparation of work plans, supervises project teams, and manages project scope, budget and schedule. Responsibilities: Responsible for all phases of planning and execution on small projects as defined by low potential risk, complexity, manpower requirements and/or contract value (typically less than $25 million). May have responsibility for multiple projects. Establishes and monitors project safety and quality programs. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls small projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements. Supervises daily activities of project personnel including technical and administrative support and ensures that deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget. May function as seller-doer, developing client contacts and relationships, preparing proposals, coordinating contract negotiations, etc., as well as managing project execution. Represents the company to client and maintains client relationship. Qualifications/Competencies/Experience: Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a discipline or skill.
