Project Manager, Accounting Rules, Sub Ledger, Finance IT recruitment

The role sits within the Finance Technology department, who are responsible for technology delivery, support and change related activity within the Finance business division. It is primarily responsible for delivering solutions to Finance Business across all products including Rates, Currencies, Credit, Local Markets, Equities, and Portfolio Management. 

One of the main deliverables of the role is a new single global Accounting Rules Engine that is a key component in the future state architecture.

This role is for a senior project manager to take ownership of this project and deliver revenue systems through the Accounting Rules Engine to the Finance architecture. The project manager will be responsible for the Finance delivery of front office systems via the new cross-functional transaction warehouse into the accounting rules engine.

Specific activities will include:

-Management of full project lifecycle through the delivery team: Business Analysis, Functional and Technical Design, Build, Test, and Implementation

-Stakeholder management, including Change Management and Technology Management

-Working with key stakeholders to define project scope, approach, benefits and priorities.

-Establish and chair effective working groups with a cross functional representation of stakeholders.

-Plan, Budget, Resource, Issue, Risk and Dependency management.

-Status / progress reporting, both delivery and financial, for project and programme steering committees.

-Define and deliver on set targets, deadlines and deliverables. Identify risks, assess and quantify their impact, and develop action plans that mitigate those risks 

-Provide day-to-day matrix management of resources

-Develop clear set of project deliverables and success criteria for each project undertaken

Essential Experience: (Must have skills)

• Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders

• Structured project management methodology

• Strong change management experience, with proven track record of leadership of successful global system implementation delivery

• Significant project management experience – teams of 20+, budgets up to £3mm

• Significant experience in Investment Bank Finance and Finance IT functions (essential)

• Preparing business cases and project definitions

• Formal project management processes and tools (e.g. Agile)

• Management of global projects

• Excellent business knowledge of Regulatory Statutory Reporting or the Finance business function.
