Project Manager / Business Analyst Team Lead recruitment

The primary focus of the role is to act as a team lead business analyst within the Market Risk Projects team. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead a team of business analysts, delivering best practice business requirements and user acceptance testing.

The candidate will be able to solve complex issues, and drive the related solutions to completion. There is a high degree of interaction with the risk managers, quantitative analytics team, and IT.

Subject matter expertise in Market Risk is required, in particular approaches to VaR and recent regulatory initiative (CRDIII, Basel III). Asset class knowledge for fixed income products is preferable, along with a working understanding of traded credit products and approaches to their risk management and regulatory treatment.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate successful management of sequential and concurrent projects that span different departments of the bank.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of business analysts in the Market Risk Projects team, providing both best practice approaches to problem solving and line management of staff.

- Subject matter expert in Market Risk approaches, including VaR and sensitivity analysis. Familiar with Fixed Income product types, particularly bonds, CDS indices.

- Project coordination of a variety of risk system initiatives, including planning, governance, communication and project reporting.

- Provide business solutions and problem solving to improve risk calculation and reporting across asset classes.

- Oversight of production of project deliverables, including business requirements and test plans relating to new functionality.

- Represent the department in various working groups and communicate timelines, progress and dependencies to other parties in the Bank.

- Maintain up to date knowledge of risk practices, systems infrastructure capabilities, and risk framework interdependencies within the Bank.

- Continuously investigate enhancements to risk practices, processes and controls.

- Assist members of the department on issues arising in project work or in daily VaR production.

- Work as a member of an effective team, contributing to the needs that may arise on an ad-hoc basis without loss of generality to current projects or work processes.
