Project Manager – Development Portfolio recruitment
The focus is to provide a delivery management and interlock capability with a focus on the delivery of changes to the organisation’s Applications and Application Frameworks. You will also interface with teams both internally and externally at a business and technical level. A good working understanding of all aspects of the development life-cycle is essential.
Project Planning / Delivery Management
• Perform the overall day-to-day management of assigned projects/sub projects to ensure that all project objectives are achieved within applicable timeframes and are compliant with the agreed requirements.
• Maintain interlock of work streams/sub-projects within projects and work with other Delivery/Project Managers to maintain interlock across the entire change landscape.
• Problem solving – issues will arise which could prevent the above 2 objectives from being delivered. It is the responsibility of the Delivery Manager to own, resolve and where necessary escalate these problems
• Managing and leading the project team (Vendors, all Stakeholders and individuals). This is after having identified and agreed with the Portfolio Owner who the key business participants should be.
• Managing the project handoffs between thus business and vendors.
• Planning, managing and scheduling the migration of Member systems from one technological platform to another.
• Detailed project planning and control including:
oDeveloping and managing to a detailed project plan
oManaging project deliverables in line with the project plan
oRecording and managing project issues / risks
oManaging project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary
oManaging project resources and agreeing resource plan with Line Managers
oMonitoring project progress and performance
oProviding scorecards by cob every Thursday
oWhen appropriate, participate in the weekly interlock meeting to ensure that all project changes are present within the Interlock plan
- Ensure that the final deliverable is acceptable to the Service Delivery departments in advance of any Go / No Go meetings, by delivering to previously agreed Acceptance Criteria
- Ensures that governance process is understood and complied with
- Clearly identify any BAU financial impact of projects for subsequent year's and have these signed off by Cost Centre controller
- Either directly or in conjunction with the sponsor / stakeholder - PIR's will need to be produced for those projects requiring them. These should form part of the project activity and not a subsequent deliverable
- A summary of all projects and any lessons learnt should be produced to share with the Portfolio team members
