The role sits within the Equities Change management Team within GBS and is closely aligned with the strategic change programme offering an exciting opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of strategic PL and Risk Middle office systems. Its main objective is to partner with multiple stakeholders within Finance and information technology, and with downstream users, to deliver technology and project change successfully to the line teams that support the Global Market Equities (GME) business and to help senior project managers with the day to day project coordination, reporting and testing of various change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• You will liaise directly with line PL Teams, IT (both on-shore and off-shore), and senior stakeholder. This involves working as a project manager.
• You will understand the risks / issues of a project - clearly articulate, escalate and assign these.
• You will track Project dependencies and milestones - clearly articulate and inform stakeholders of these.
• You will work with Business Analysts/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure Project Requirements are met and understood.
• Work closely with IT to ensure Project Requirements are met and understood.
• Work closely with IT to ensure Technology deliverable timelines are understood and met for key phases eg User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ensure key Quality Checks are in place, eg requirements sign off, UAT signed off.
• Ensure testing needs are understood and where possible test cases are provided.
• This role provides considerable opportunity to gain detailed understanding of the products, processes, and systems used in an investment bank along with exposure to all the phases of the project life cycle.

You will have:
• Proven banking experience possibly in an equity/Interest Rate (IR) derivatives product control position.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills will be needed, along with strong facilitation skills.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate communication by using different forms of media. Team work and extensive user liaison are critical to pulling together the differing needs of various global locations and business areas.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of market risk desirable.
• Fluency in good architectural practices and a proven track record of meeting agreed objectives and deadliness. Exposure to risk and PL processes and systems will be valuable.
• Knowledge of accounting.
• An understanding or interest to understand the end-to-end workflow for a sales and trading business (including interactions with front office, trade capture, PL and risk, accounting, reconciliations).
• Proven ability to contribute to projects and manage change.
• Strong interpersonal skills: both listening to and leading people.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.

• Experience of working with developers (specification , testing) is desirable.

• Degree educated or equivalent in a technical Degree (Maths, Science, Economics, Business Studies).
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Part-Qualified.
• PMI or PRINCE qualified.
• A self starter, motivated.

• Logical, with a structured approach to problem-solving in a fast-moving securities business environment.
