Primary Objective(s)
Provide project management and direction in one or more projects/programs for Thomson Reuters. These projects will typically relate to business processes and/or systems for global business partners and involve multiple globally located business and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Project life cycle.
- Develops and tracks to detailed project plans, including schedules, cost estimates, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans and issue resolution plans at the project level
- Assemble cross-functional integration teams and assign individual responsibilities. Provide project leadership, work direction, and feedback. Influence the work of others outside of direct authority to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
- Communicates and reports status to executives, global business partners and all other stakeholders e.g., Status Reports, Executive Briefings, etc.
- Deliver input for formal presentations and executive summaries to senior management and responsible for status updates on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Other duties/projects as required based on situational requirements and needs of the business.
- Frequent travel may be required (up to 25%)
- Meeting business case budget and achieving defined integration project metrics.
- Indirectly responsible for the work output of the project team members. Collaborate with the resource managers who are directly managing those team members, as needed.
- Responsible for leading cross-functional and international integration teams.
- Coaches and trains project team members on project management processes and best practices, as needed.
- Mentor other project manager(s) globally.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor degree required in Business, Technology, or Operations Management. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- PMP certification preferred or thorough knowledge and demonstrated execution of project management methodology including documentation.
- 7 years of experience with 3-5+ years of project management experience working in a large organization with cross-functional global teams.
- Thorough knowledge of operations processes and interdependencies required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to effectively influence and interact with many levels of management.
- Ability to manage resources in a continuously changing environment with competing demands.
- Proven track record of successful project implementation with definable contributions to the business.
- Ability to drive and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence actions/decisions of others.
- Knowledge of operating systems and their relation to business processes preferred.
