Project Manager Job in Markham, Ontario Canada

Description:

Our York Region based client is looking to add a Project Manager to their team. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Construction Manager.  Key responsibilities include:

·        Establish  project schedules, budgets and reporting procedures

·        Establish project plans and methods

·        Manage all change requests ensuring that all cost and schedule  impacts are accounted for and  ensure on-time project completion

·        Provide the team with the tools and training to do the job well

·        Provide senior management with cost forecasts, schedule and safety reports

·        Maintain positive  relationships with the owner, architects, subcontractors and the entire project team

·        Ensure project profitability

·        Act as liaison with authorities and regulatory agencies

 

Qualifications:

·        Civil P.Eng or EIT

·        Previous experience (minimum 5 years) with MTO transportation projects (i.e. roads, bridges, highways)

·        Previous experience dealing with government agencies

·        Proven Project Management Skills, highly organized, goal oriented, sense of urgency, detail oriented and able to manage changing priorities

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate teams

·        Class G license, clean drivers abstract

·        Previous experience with Excel and MS Project

·        Flexibility to work overtime as required
