Ingersoll Rand's Climate Solutions sector delivers energy-efficient HVACR solutions for customers globally. Its world class brands include Thermo King, the leader in transport temperature control and Trane, provider  of energy efficient heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, building and contracting services, parts support and advanced controls for homes and commercial buildings.

We have a great opporutnity for a PMP certified Project Manager who will be responsible for leading the efforts of a cross-functional product development team, creating new or enhanced HVAC controls products and managing a large, successful team!

Essential Job Functions:
* Work closely with management and business leaders to create project scope and objectives.
* Direct involvement in project and product definition activities relating to marketing and/or technical requirements.
* Work with the project team to define, assess and mitigate risks that have a major impact on project cost, schedule, investment and technology.
* Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments of project team members.
* Document project activities, issues, concerns and status to keep management informed and enable timely resolution of project problems.
* Develop novel concepts and approaches to solving team, technical or schedule problems.
* Utilize effective communication and facilitation skills both inside the team and across the organization to resolve problems and eliminate roadblocks/distractions.
* Follow established phase gate product development procedures and guidelines currently in effect to leverage shared organizational knowledge and experience.
* Participate in the development and use of project management procedures, guidelines and methods.
* Create an environment for team member growth, cohesiveness, productivity, recognition, and accountability while successfully meeting project objectives.
* Integrate business, marketing and technology elements to create a cohesive project vision and team charter.
* Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
* Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.

Education, Experience Skills:
* BS or MS degree in an Engineering discipline with additional training or education in leadership management techniques and principles.
* Experience leading a major embedded software project or enterprise software development project.
* Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
* Reliable planned with good attention to detail.
* Strong leadership along with good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* PMI certification
* Knowledge of DFSS techniques desired.
