Nuclear Project Manager - Resource Manager

Job Scope
Overall responsibility for resource planning for the nuclear, new plant projects. Working with matrix organization to develop the resource requirements, ensure the requirements are loaded into the recruitment system. Establish metrics to track performance and hold regular reviews with Project Management to report status. Develop a work force plan model and forecast project requirements. Reconciles and validates headcount to ensure that resource demands are within financial budgets. Champion the growth of the resource management discipline within Invensys Operations Management. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
- Directs all aspects of resource planning that include identifying and documenting project roles, responsibility, and reporting relationships, as well as creating the staffing management plan.
- Acquires the project team by obtaining the human resources need to complete the project. Ensure quality of resources and availability of an adequate resource pool to support projects, customer needs. Develops the project team - Improving the competencies and the interaction of the team members to enhance project performance. Ensure all resources are properly allocated, deployed and managed across all projects in support of business needs.
- Manages the project team by tracking team member performance, providing feedback, resolving issues, and coordinating changes to enhance project performance.
Education
BS in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
5+ years in a professional engineering role, 2 + years in a resoure management capacity
Desired
PMP Certification
Commercial Nuclear experience or EPC experience
Knowledge of nuclear regulations, 10CFR50, IEEE, etc.
Knowledge of control systems and safety systems (DCS and SIL systems)
2 + years experience as a resource manager highly desired.
Travel - up to 25%
