Project Manager – Risk Chief Operating Office recruitment
Function Overview:
Risk has initiated a programme to create a portfolio view of all outsourcing (internal and external) arrangements within UBS. This is a global programme covering all Business Divisions and supporting Functions. The Programme reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Risk.
Job Description:
The role will be Project lead for Tranche 3 of the Risk Outsourcing Programme which will focus on the requirements for inter-entity outsourcing arrangements. This job will require you to work closely with senior managers across Business Divisions and supporting Functions. You will be reporting to the Programme Manager.
The responsibilities of the Project Lead will involve:
- Definition of inter-entity outsourcing in the organisation
- Understanding and getting agreement of the problem set that needs to be addressed
- Implementation of a fit for purpose control framework, leveraging existing processes which address the problem set where appropriate
- Identification of any gaps in the control framework and action plans to close key risks
- Identifying and implementing/leveraging appropriate governance bodies around inter-entity
- Working across other relevant programmes which impact Tranche 3 e.g. Too Big to Fail, Client Data Confidentiality Programme et
Requirements
- The Project Lead for Tranche 3 is a hands on role that demands initiative, self motivation and the ability to provide pragmatic and timely solutions to meet the needs of the organisation and regulatory requirements
- You will be expected to demonstrate experience of dealing with large cross functional programmes and the ability to manage relationships with senior management, persuasively influence peers, and confidently deliver to stringent deadlines
- The candidate will need to be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and must have strong written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate complex issues succinctly and clearly to non-technical and senior audiences
- You will be expected to have strong business analysis and problem solving skills and an ability to easily manipulate and analyse a broad range of data
- The Project Lead must possess strong knowledge of internal control design and risk management principles.
