Project Manager – SAP

Position Purpose:
Plans, directs and coordinates activities of assigned projects to ensure project goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frame, scope and budget. Independently and effectively manages assigned projects.

Manage large strategic projects end to end from inception to implementation. Ideal candidate is a senior-level PM with around 15 years IT experience and about 5 years of those in a project management role.

5-7 years experience managing interface projects that utilize IBM WMB version 7.0 (7.0.0.3), MQ version 7.0 (7.0.1.1), SAP PI 7.1 and SAP PI 7.3 in a distributed environment (AIX)
Experience managing projects that use ESB - specifically mediation, message routing, message enrichment and message transformation
Experience managing interface projects that involve security management (third-party integration SSL etc), connection management (protocol like http, a sync etc) and transaction management (roll backs, unit of work etc.)
5-7 years experience managing interface projects that use Enhanced Standard Services provided by SAP
5-7 years experience managing projects involving business systems that are integrating using various types of adapters: IDOC adapter, FILE adapter with Content Conversion, JDBC adapter, RFC adapter, JMS adapter and SOAP adapter
Experience managing projects that either create or consume Enterprise Services in ABAP
Knowledge of Service oriented architecture (SOA)
Application of Waterfall, RUP or Agile development methodologies to ESB application development (break down of development and configuration tasks in WMB). We have used a mixture of RUP and waterfall so far. But based on SAP proposal we may follow SCRUM based approach
