A Project Manager with offshore SDLC experience is needed by a global financial services company based in London, working with the business, development, QA and infrastructure teams to manage the delivery of a leading edge bespoke trading platform covering a wide range of asset classes. Strong knowledge of the SDLC and development methodologies is required for this 12 month contract and experience delivering large-scale technology projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for a number of tasks including project planning, vendor management, requirements management, resource management, change control, QA and issue management and most importantly the successful delivery of a leading edge trading platform into a live environment.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Programme Management and be responsible for managing subject matter experts and business analysts helping to ensure the successful delivery of the project into the financial services organisation. The Project Manager will also liaise with an offshore development team and manage the offshore Vendor tasked with building this bespoke trading platform. The expected team size for the entire project is expected to be 25 - 30 people.
To be considered for the role of Project Manager, (SDLC, Prince 2, PMBOK, CMMI) 12 month contract, experience in the following is essential:
* Prince 2 or PMI accredited practitioner
* At least 5 years experience working as a Project Manager in a software delivery capacity
* Experience in developing IT based SDLC projects from start to finish
* Experience working with multiple vendor systems
* Knowledge of financial services is beneficial but not a pre-requisite
* Demonstrated experience in off shore external supplier management
