Job Description:
Brickendon Consultingis currently seeking a highly motivated, self-starting project manager / business analyst who is excited at the prospect of working on projects that require analysis and coordination across multiple functions, front-to-back. The successful applicant will work on a range of high-visibility projects at major investment banks across a wide spectrum of financial products.
- Ability to work across various lines of business and functional areas to design and define systems and processes that meet our clients’ control and regulatory needs/requirements.
- Ability to analyse and manage the impact of change requirements. Further, to support, design, develop, systems testing and UAT. Acts as an owner of the requirements within the delivery team.
- Must have broad knowledge across various areas of regulatory matters within capital markets, fixed income, equities, and/or commodities) and be passionate about delivering value business.
- Able to interface with all levels of seniority across the organization i.e. trading, risk, IT, legal and operations.
- Add value to product design and functionality while maintaining a pragmatic approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and mature enough commercially to work across the organization and ensure all FSA, BaFIN, SEC, DTCC etc. requirements are addressed.
- Experience in end-to-end development life cycles.
Core Responsibilities:-
- Performing scoping and gap analyses
- Query based analysis
- Analyzing and documenting business requirements
- Producing detailed functional specifications
- Creating detailed project plans
- Managing ongoing communication and coordination between the business and IT
- Maintaining all stakeholders engaged in the project and focused on delivery
- Managing projects and running meetings with individuals of varying seniority and knowledge
- Designing, performing, and managing testing
- Experience in end-to-end development life cycles
- A track record of delivering compliance solutions and releases into production in tier one capital markets environments.
- 2-5 years of business analysis and project management experience in the industry; with exposure to the EU regulatory framework for various asset classes.
- Demonstrate the ability to translate business needs into functional specs to ensure that the platform is delivered as intended.
- Able to define/map complex systems / rules and provide clear functional solutions.
- Experience working on large business systems that run across the organization and geographies.
Desired Skills Experience
Candidate must have:-
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5 to 8 years’ experience as a project manager or senior business analyst
- Experience in capital markets
- Good overall front-to-back knowledge of the various functional groups in an investment bank
- OTC Derivative and Commodities Derivative knowledge, including: credit, interest rate, FX, and equity derivatives.
- Excellent oral communication and people skills
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
- Good business and technical skills
- Competencies in MS Office, MS Project, bug tracking, wiki and other related project management and common communications tools is required
Desired Skills:-
- Excellent Project Management and Organizational skills.
- A consulting background or Investment Banking experience
- A recognised project management certification
- Candidates must be eligible to work and live in UK.
